Psychosocial Support for Companies with International Employees

Psychosocial Support for Companies with International Employees

Mental health care and emotional guidance for expatriates, repatriates & their families

Global mobility is more than just a change of location.
A new job in a new country brings more than cultural differences – it brings emotional challenges, identity shifts, and psychological stress. This doesn’t only affect the employee, but also their accompanying partners and family members.

Where relocation services end, my work begins.

While typical relocation packages take care of logistics, housing, and paperwork, I support people in the phase where true settling in begins – emotionally, socially, and psychologically.

My Services for HR Teams & Companies

I support international employees and their families through psychosocial counseling – helping them navigate their international assignment with resilience, clarity, and emotional well-being. This includes both the time abroad and the often-overlooked challenges of returning home.

  • Strengthening Mental Health & Resilience
Expat life can be highly demanding: new environment, unfamiliar language, pressure to perform, social isolation. I offer psychological support to help individuals cope with stress, homesickness, overwhelm, or feelings of disconnection – before they lead to burnout or withdrawal.

  • Supporting Accompanying Partners & Families
It’s not only the employee who relocates – their family does, too. I provide counseling for partners and children to help them find emotional stability, build a sense of belonging, and create their own perspective in a new life setting.

  • Repatriation Support
Returning home after years abroad can trigger a reverse culture shock. Identity issues, disorientation, and emotional upheaval are common. I help repatriates emotionally transition back and reintegrate into their professional and personal environments.

Benefits for Your Organization

  • Higher retention & commitment: Well-supported expats and families are more likely to stay with the company long-term.

  • Lower dropout rates: Early emotional support significantly reduces the risk of failed assignments or premature returns.

  • Healthier, more focused teams: Mentally resilient employees perform better and manage challenges more effectively.

  • Stronger employer branding: Taking care of your global workforce’s mental well-being reflects responsibility and value-driven leadership.
